Land Rover was also synonymous with the ubiquitous, rather basic, utility vehicle, but manufactured the Range Rover, the up-market highly refined luxury vehicle. Though both were 4x4, the two vehicles were so different in build quality and brand positioning that consumers were confused about who made Range Rover - was it Land Rover, the Rover Group or Range Rover?Land Rover wanted to create a better company brand platform in order to launch a new vehicle, the Discovery (and later other vehicles) under the Land Rover name. Their positioning being the makers of the best 4x4 vehicles in the world.Land Rover is one of the most famous automobile brands and their identity was implemented in virtual every country in the world. The logo was applied to an extensive range of company and dealer-related material, including promotional literature and a multi-million pound dealer signage programme. The visual changes introduced reached out to every aspect of the company’s products, services and operations throughout its world markets.By and large the initial brand strategy has been followed to this day and has facilitated a better understanding of the company and it's now extensive range of 4x4 vehicles.]]>http://www.goodlogo.com/designers/1460#13121455532011-07-31T20:52:33Z2011-07-31T20:52:33Zhttp://www.goodlogo.com/designers/1459#13121453982011-07-31T20:49:58Z2011-07-31T20:49:58Zhttp://www.goodlogo.com/designers/1458#13115880382011-07-25T10:00:38Z2011-07-25T10:00:38Zhttp://www.goodlogo.com/designers/1457#13113604272011-07-22T18:47:07Z2011-07-22T18:47:07Zhttp://www.goodlogo.com/extended.info/3672#13106674702011-07-14T18:17:50Z2011-07-14T18:17:50ZRockella is the logo for a Polish language rock e-zine.]]>http://www.goodlogo.com/extended.info/3671#13104104992011-07-11T18:54:59Z2011-07-11T18:54:59ZApart from being the acronym of Canadian National Railway, the now called North America's Railway Transportation Services logo, just like the Dutch Railways logo, also resembles the track of a railway. Also just to inform you the CN logo was created before the 1980 CNN logo was given brith. To be precise the logo was designed in 1961 by Toronto graphic designer Allan Robb Fleming. At the time it was introduced the logo was startling in its modernity and simplicity. It was part of a massive overhaul of CN's stodgy corporate image, coming just one year after the railroad, one of the world's largest, retired its last steam locomotives. Communications scholar Marshall MacLuhan called the logo 'an icon'. A 1999 survey showed 99% of Canadians recognized the brand. Often affectionately called the 'wet noodle', the 'CN worm' and other such nicknames, it replaced an older logo based on a traditional maple leaf design with English-language text ('Serves All Canada') and the initials CNR. By dropping the R and the ancillary text, the new logo served equally well in both English and French. It was adapted for use on CN's major American subsidiaries, the Grand Trunk (GT) and Central Vermont (CV) railways.Source: http://www.cn.ca/companyinfo/history/logo1960.shtml]]>http://www.goodlogo.com/designers/1456#13104087022011-07-11T18:25:02Z2011-07-11T18:25:02Zhttp://www.goodlogo.com/extended.info/3670#13104064182011-07-11T17:46:58Z2011-07-11T17:46:58ZFritz Klaetke of Visual Dialogue in Boston created this logo in 2002 for Nucleus Research, a firm that provides investigative technology research and advisory services. In 1862 Cuban wine merchant Facundo Bacardi, originating from Spain, acquired a distillery in Santiago de Cuba. This distillery used the method developed by Bacardi for refining sugar and liquor into a white colored mild rum. Because there were a large number of bats living under the roof of the distillery, it was decided that it was appropriate to also show the bats on the brand of its white Bacardi Rum products.
After reading this I hope you will still enjoy your Bacardi (just mix it with this). If that won’t work for you, maybe it is good to know that in Cuba fruit bats are a symbol of good luck. So cheers to you!]]>http://www.goodlogo.com/designers/1453#13088278532011-06-23T11:17:33Z2011-06-23T11:17:33Zhttp://www.goodlogo.com/designers/1452#13083168652011-06-17T13:21:05Z2011-06-17T13:21:05Zhttp://www.goodlogo.com/extended.info/3668#13083167872011-06-17T13:19:47Z2011-06-17T13:19:47ZNik4Now is the logo and name for the dancing school of Nik Dombek.
